Take the numbers 1 to 9 and place them in clockwise order by starting with number 9 on top. Make a line from 1 to 2 then 4,8,7,5 and back to one. 1×2=2. 2×2=4. 4×2=8. 8×2=16 but we want one digit numbers so we do 1+6=7.7×2=14, 1+4=5. Or we can also double 16. 16×2=32. 3+2=5. 5×2=10. 1+0=1. We can also double the 32. 32×2=64. 6+4=10. 1+0=0. This is why we connected these numbers like that.
